DJ/singer/songwriter/producer Lizzie Curious is arguably the most successful female house DJ in the UK. Years of experience combined with her raw talent, insatiable appetite for the hottest house music, a never ending source of energy and enthusiasm, flawless technical skills and consistent floor-filling, crowd-enthusing performances has led to a summer residency in Ibiza at the world-famous superclub Privilege, 2 residencies in the UK (Sick Vibez and her own flagship night The Curiousity Club), plus headline gigs around the country and worldwide, where she consistently delights house aficionados time and time again. As a singer/songwriter she has firmly established herself globally, working with the likes of Robbie Rivera, Dinka and Ali Wilson, having already notched up over 20 releases to her name.

A coveted weekly residency in the main room at the world’s biggest
club, Privilege, for Juicy Ibiza, was undoubtedly the highlight of her successful
summer in Ibiza, which saw her playing to thousands of house music devotees
and handing over the headphones to the likes of Marco V, Stonebridge, Laurent
Garnier, Inpetto and of course Robbie Rivera. Her season in Ibiza also boasted
weekly residencies for Charlys Angelz at Play2, The Acid Lounge at Itaca plus
a host of other gigs all over the island including Viva, Guarana, Hush, Es
Vive and Kanya.
Back on home soil, Lizzie Curious has notched up hundreds of gigs around the
UK, the highlights of which include The Gallery, KissDaFunk, Gatecrasher,
Licked, Roc Da House, Housework, Housetrap, The Sh*t Party Reunion, J'Adore,
Break Out, Grin, Elektrophonik, The Lollipop Lounge and Riot. Following a
highly successful 3 year residency with the ElectronicSessions boat parties
in London where she was credited time and time again for being the most popular
resident on the boat, 2010 sees her devoting her efforts to the rise and rise
of her own flagship event The Curiousity Club. As head honcho, Lizzie has
been able to put a real personal Curious stamp on her events, bringing to
London a series of unique themed club nights, fusing bespoke Burlesque entertainment
with filthy, roof-raising house music creating an unmatchable, electric atmosphere.
In the summer of 2009 she also held 2 successful workers Curiousity Club parties
in Ibiza.
2010 saw her kick off with a 999 Emergency Burlesque Curiousity Club in the
capital raising money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and Cancer
Research UK and this will be followed by a welcomed return to The White House
in London for an Alice in Wonderland themed extravaganza on March 19th 2010.
As the success of Curiousity Club continues to grow, this year sees Lizzie
putting into place a series of Curiousity Club events around the UK, starting
with a collaboration with Exeter's finest House Trap on 13th March 2010. Alongside
The Curiousity Club, Lizzie is proud to be head resident for the exciting
new promotion Sick Vibez, launching on April 1st in the capital.
Demand for Lizzie Curious both in the UK and internationally continues to
rise, with headline gigs in Russia, Finland, Majorca and Ibiza already under
her belt, 2010, alongside a return to Ibiza, will see her jetting out to headline
in Greece, Bahrain and last but by no means least the legendary Juicy Beach
event in Miami. Robbie Rivera's Juicy Beach is the jewel in the house music
crown that is the Miami Winter Music Conference, a sell-out annual event attended
by thousands of house music devotees sited on the stunning Nikki Beach.
Equally impressive are Lizzie’s talents as a singer/songerwriter and
producer, where in her studio she produces her own, original material to consistently
high acclaim. A classically trained musical background (she has Grade 7 qualifications
in singing, the piano and the flute and countless years of playing in orchestras
and singing in choirs) plus a triple distinction in BTec Music Technology
is combined with a natural musical talent that shines through in everything
she puts her hand to. Following 3 top ten entries in the UK Songwriting Contest
and the independent release of her own artist album, Different Things, her
beautiful, versatile stunning voice, coupled with her talent for penning catchy,
original lyrics saw her talent being spotted by Juicy head honcho Robbie Rivera
in 2007.
Her first vocal for Robbie, Star Quality, became the title track for his 2008
artist album and was remixed by the likes of Wally Lopez, Paolo Jackson and
Richard Dinsdale, with Lizzie herself also turning in a storming dirty house
remix. To date, Lizzie has recorded 3 more vocals for Robbie Rivera, all released
on Juicy Music: Meant To Be, The Rain (featured on his 2009 artist album)
and the seminal summer house smasher Sax Heaven, which was remixed by Alex
Gaudino and Thomas Gold. Robbie Rivera says of Lizzie's work ‘I must
say she is the easiest singer/songwriter I have ever worked with. She has
a beautiful voice and a great personality and this shows on the songs she
does for me.’
Lizzie's passion and dedication to the craft of singing and songwriting has
seen her become highly sought after for her vocals and her discography to
date, alongside her impressive catalogue with Robbie Rivera, includes releases
with Nino Anthony (SpeakerFreaker on Portamento), Dinka (Green Leaf on Unsigned
Digital), Jack Michaels (Broken Records on Grin Recordings), Sean Jaydee (Life)
and Tim Davison (SU242 on Baroque Records). Watch out for more exciting releases
in 2010 with Robbie Rivera, Lazy Rich, Ali Wilson, Marcus Gauntlett, Paul
Bingham, Jason Chance and Graeme Lloyd to name but a few, with Lizzie receiving
consistent support from some of the biggest names in the house music world.
